In addition to being a full-time minister for the church of Christ, Gary Witcher teaches the art history portion of American Studies at Watertown High School.  He also teaches several courses on the Watertown campus of Mt. Marty College, including Art History, Art Appreciation, Related Arts, Elementary Art Education, Photogrphy, Internet in Education, and Computers and Technology in the Classroom.

He has a BA in art, a BA in art education and a MEd in art, all from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

He has been married since 1970 to Amy.  Their children are Jessica, Toni and Monica. Before the children were born, Gary and Amy spent four years on the Navajo reservation where Amy taught first grade and Gary taught cultural art.  The family lived seven years in Italy where Toni and Jessica completed most of their elementary education and Monica was born.
